Nebiru Crossing FAQ Sheet for Buyers

BIDDING (on eBay): Please do not bid if you do not intend to follow through with the purchase. Seller reserves the right to cancel bids from bidders with negative feedback or fewer than 5 feedback remarks ..solely at the seller's discretion.  Please contact us with any questions you have before bidding.  Winning bidder is expected to contact us within 3 days as per eBay guidelines. Please contact us about any problems of any kind before leaving feedback. We do report non-paying bidders. We list and describe all items as accurately as we can. If no warranty is specified, then product is sold AS IS. This applies to almost everything we sell.

PAYMENT: Payment is due within SEVEN (7) days of auction's end (on eBay) or the date of our invoice to you; for Kijiji buyers, payment is due upon pick-up; for Blogspot buyers who require shipping, payment is due within 10 days.. We say this because we do not pack items until they are sold so that we can answer bidders' questions. We always try to pack your order safely and securely, which can change weights and shipping charges. However, shipping charges will never be more than quoted in the listing -- they may be less, especially if you're purchasing multiple items. Items not paid for within 7 (eBay) or 10 (Blogspot) working days, will be relisted.  Packages are mailed within 3 days of cleared payment. Payments are to be made by:

TWO: cheque, or  THREE: money order

Your order will be shipped when funds clear [24 hours for Royal Bank of Canada; 3 to 5 days for other Canadian banks; 21 days for USA banks].  If your cheque bounces, you will be charged a fee of $US 40.00.

FEEDBACK (on eBay):  Positive feedback will usually be left on the date item is shipped. Please leave positive feedback when you receive your item.  If there is any problem, please contact us before leaving feedback.

ALLERGIES: Virtually all of our merchandise is used; and we cannot be certain of what kind of environment it has been in before we acquired it. Our home and store are both pet-and-smoke friendly. If you have smoke or pet allergies, PLEASE DO NOT BID!

E-MAILS (eBay transactions): We do NOT send an e-mail confirming that we have received payment, and we do NOT send you an e-mail confirming shipment (unless you have paid to receive a tracking number). Please watch your e-bay feedback -- positive feedback is usually left on the date that we ship, and that will be your confirmation that your item is on the way.

ITEM DESCRIPTION/REPRESENTATION: If you have any questions or problems about items purchased from us, please let us know. Our goal is to provide excellent customer service and to make people as happy with their purchases as possible. Everyone's opinion of the condition of things varies with their knowledge and experience and, after all, it is an OPINION.  I might think it's EXCELLENT --you might not.  We try not to hype it up and to give you our honest opinion. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS OR RETURNS.

TAXES: Canadian residents must pay HST on all items, including shipping and handling charges.  Some items may be exempt from the provincial portion of the HST.   Ontario residents must pay PST on all items including insurance, shipping and handling. GST registration #877446419RT0001. PST registration #9588-9043. (for eBay customers only: Please note that the eBay forms do not presently allow for adding both federal and provincial taxes to Canadian shoppers buying in USA funds on eBay.com; therefore: PLEASE REQUEST AN INVOICE before paying so that we can add all applicable taxes.

INSURANCE/CUSTOMS DUTIES: We offer optional insurance for Canadian and American orders at a flat rate of $US 2.00 per shipment regardless of the actual declared value. We make every effort to pack items securely. However, items can get tossed about during shipping. Seller is NOT RESPONSIBLE for items lost or damaged during shipment.  Please consider insurance!  We offer insurance on any item you purchase.  But, remember, there are certain classes of mail where insurance is NOT available.  Shipments outside of North America can therefore be very expensive to insure because the insurance up-grades the shipping category [example: shipping on 2 books to Italy would go up from $22.00 to $75.00!!]. If you require insurance or a confirmation number please let us know as this is an extra cost that the buyer pays.  Insurance is not required, but it is highly recommended.  We are not responsible for items that are not insured.  For international customs purposes, we declare the actual amount you paid, exclusive of shipping charges.  You are responsible for any customs duties/excise tax, etc., which may apply in your country.

MISCELLANEOUS: This is a part-time business, although it may become full-time when we retire in the near future. We occasionally do over-time at our full-time job, and we like to give attention to friends, children and grand-children and other family members -- sometimes we're away from the computer for up to three days. Please give us your patience.

SHIPPING: charges are specified in most (eBay) listings.  Substantial discounts for multiple items.  All items are sent regular surface mail to the USA and Canada and Internationally, unless otherwise requested (and paid for). Please be patient.....shipping from Canada to USA can take 10-15 business days (three weeks). All items are final sale. No refunds.
