LIMERICKS TO KLAKOKUM

LIMERICKS TO K’LAKOKUM

There was an old poet of Brampton

Who loved it when words were stamped on.

     Each new shriek at his foot

     Into his poem he’d put

His pseudonym eagerly clamped on.

There is still a new Saint named Andrew

Whose words balance Libran true;

     Whenever thoughts clash

     His pen will soon dash

To rapidly correct their askew.

NOTE re: ‘Andrew’:  those familiar with the Kangaroo poets will remember that each of them took on the name of one of the twelve (later thirteen, after JDC/Mattias replaced BS/Judas Iscariot) disciples.  K’lakokum was Saint Andrew; Rabin was Saint James the Elder.
